Ardour 3 Beta on FreeBSD

I don't use FreeBSD (or any other BSD, for that matter) but I like knowing that it is there, in case I ever need it.  GNU/Linux, in its staggering array of forms, is amazingly versatile but that doesn't mean it is always the right tool for the job.  Choice is good.

Marcel Bonnet recently posted to the Ardour Users mailing list that he has Ardour 3 beta 5 running on FreeBSD, documented here.  Traffic on the Ardour Dev mailing list makes it sound like the gold release of Ardour 3 for Linux and Mac is very, very near, so this bodes well for the it being available to FreeBSD users shortly thereafter.
